The next chapter of the January 6th story is about to unfold. The congressional January 6th commission has issued its first subpoenas, journalists have unveiled documentation of Trump’s intention to derail certification, and the Arizona audit officially came up empty while Texas’ is underway.

It appears that maybe, just maybe, there will be some accountability for the most destructive attack on our nation’s Capitol in over 200 years.

But at Operation 147 we refuse to take anything for granted. While the evidence against Trump and The 147 pile up, their manufactured outrage machine is hard at work generating the campaign contributions they need to run out the clock and get away with their attempted coup scot-free.

If The 147 manage to grow their caucus in the 2022 midterms and win control of the House OR Senate, any hope of holding them accountable would vanish, possibly forever. Simply put, they’re not going to hold themselves accountable.

But the good news is that even if our institutions continue to fail with The 147 at the helm, ultimately accountability is in our hands. While the January 6th commission, DOJ, and investigative journalists continue the hard work of putting together an air-tight case, we’re preparing to serve payback the old-fashioned way: at the ballot box.
