Dear John,

Did you know that there are over 20,000 migrants of Sudanese descent in Australia?

The vast majority of these have come as humanitarian migrants fleeing decades of civil war, first from Sudan and later from the newly formed South Sudan.

They bring with them the trauma of those experiences, and face many hardships in adjusting to a life in Australia.

Meet one of these – Pastor Santino Yuet.  Like many other South Sudanese he cares passionately for those he has left behind.  Extraordinarily, he continues to return to his homeland for the express purpose of training pastors in the bible.  Read more of his story on the link below.

AE staff from our Kenyan office have strong and on-going links with church leaders in Juba. Earlier this month they convened a Trauma Healing forum which engaged with state officials and educators.

Please pray for us as we work towards AE’s implementation of new leadership program in November, run in collaboration with the Bible Society of South Sudan and the Ministry of Education.

Your support of AE can have a significant and lasting effect on the strength of the Church in South Sudan.

Your brother in Christ,
