Tallahassee Republicans have officially jumped on the bandwagon of extreme, draconian attacks on the rights of millions of women across Florida. Representatives in the Florida State House have officially filed a bill that would fundamentally change the rights of women in our state and they are just getting started.

This bill would curtail reproductive choice after only the sixth week of pregnancy, before many women even know they are pregnant. It would also be enforced through “private civil enforcement” meaning that Floridians could face surveillance and retribution by our family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
Republicans constantly minimize the very painful experience of living under an authoritarian regime by complaining that common-sense public health measures are akin to communism while simultaneously passing laws that you would usually only see in countries run by actual dictators!
Together, we absolutely have the strength and conviction to fight these cruel anti-choice bills in Florida and across the entire country. Let’s start by electing leaders who will dedicate themselves to defending our rights, not revoking them for political gain.
