Friend,
TODAY is National Voter Registration Day — a day to celebrate our democracy and make sure that every eligible person is registered to vote. And this day couldn't come at a more critical time.
Across the country, communities are being systematically disenfranchised by voter suppression, with many states often targeting people of color. Our teams are working to eliminate barriers to voting and are fighting for a democracy that's rooted in racial justice and equity while mobilizing people of color to participate in the democratic process.
But to make an impact, and to make this the biggest National Voter Registration Day ever, we need YOU. There are three urgent things you can do to mark this important day:
- Register to vote or check your voter registration. Even if you voted in the last election, it's worth making sure you're still registered. Check your registration here »
- Tell your family and friends to check their registration. There's strength in numbers — make sure everyone you know takes the initiative to check their voter status. Send them this link »
- Tell your senators to pass the Freedom to Vote Act. This transformative bill would protect the freedom to vote nationwide, ensure fair representation for all communities, and get big money out of politics.

Protecting the right to vote is integrally tied to our work to fight the climate crisis. We know that a vast majority of people want real action on climate change and stronger protections for clean air and water. But when our communities can't vote — especially when communities of color are disenfranchised — it impacts our ability to create real progress for climate change and environmental justice.
Don't let restrictions on voting rights destroy our hopes for a more just future and a healthier planet.
Start by confirming your own voter registration
Then, make sure we protect the freedom to vote for everyone, regardless of their race, background, or zip code.
Tell your senators to support the Freedom to Vote Act by signing our petition.
Our progress as a nation rests on free and fair elections, so thank you for taking action today.
Sincerely,
