Friend, I wanted to make sure you saw our email about Ryan Zinke's absurd opinion piece whitewashing his record on public lands.

I have to admit, I was shocked when I first read it.

Shocked because I personally joined conservationists and Indigenous leaders at Bears Ears National Monument after Zinke tried to shrink it and expand oil drilling. Shocked because Zinke's career has been defined by his abuse of public lands in order to line the pockets of corporate polluters.

Zinke knows Montanans treasure our lands and waterways. We were raised believing it's our duty to protect our lands for our children and for the generations to come. He's desperate to spin the facts, but we won't let him off the hook.

My campaign for this open congressional seat is our best chance to reject Zinke's lies and send a true defender of public lands to Congress. This week marks our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline and we're still a bit short of the $35,000 goal we set. Will you rush in your contribution of $3 before midnight?

Yours,

Cora

Subject: Outright lies from Ryan Zinke

This is infuriating, friend.

Our likely Republican opponent Ryan Zinke just wrote an op-ed trying to rewrite history and whitewash his record on public lands. He makes quite the claim:

"I have never -- and will never -- sell your public lands."

Zinke either thinks we're stupid or is hoping we're just not paying attention. While he ran the Department of the Interior, Zinke oversaw the largest sell-off of public lands and oceans in American history.

If you want to make sure Zinke never gets a chance to hold office again. Chip in a $3 donation to support Cora Neumann's campaign against him. She'll fight for our public lands.

Here are the facts:

The National Resources Defense Council described Zinke's tenure at the DOI as a "a full-scale attack on Teddy Roosevelt's legacy." He ripped apart environmental safeguards and threw the doors open for energy and mining companies to exploit public lands.

He even pushed President Trump to shrink national monuments like Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante to help his fossil fuel buddies turn a profit.

It's bad enough that Zinke would turn his back on Montana and destroy our public lands, but to campaign on the lie that he never sold them off is despicable and politics at its very worst.

Montanans deserve leaders that will fight for our public lands — not sell them to the highest bidder. Cora has her first FEC fundraising deadline coming up, and we can use all the help we can get against Zinke and his fossil fuel industry allies. Please chip in $3 to make sure he never steps foot in office again.
