Abortion justice is a framework developed by our colleagues at All* Above All, and we’re sounding the alarm to make clear that abortion must become accessible to everyone. For years, Reproaction activists have worked tirelessly to do just that, including through our work on self-managed abortion with pills.

At a time when a majority of Americans say abortion should be legal [1], states are passing cruel abortion bans that deprive people of abortion access, shame their health care decisions, and put unnecessary hurdles in their way. These extreme restrictions affect all people with the capacity for pregnancy, but especially target people already marginalized by our health care system.

Everyone should have access to abortion in their communities and nothing, not where a person lives nor their reasons for having an abortion, should impact their ability to access abortion care.
