Welcome to WCV's Weekly Election Update, your one-stop-shop for pertinent voting information, actions to take, and upcoming events hosted by WCV-endorsed candidates. With a plethora of local elections happening this year, the future of our environment and communities are at stake. Electing pro-environment local governments is a crucial factor in creating an equitable, just, and healthy environment for all, especially on issues we all care about like housing justice, clean water, and public transportation.
Today is National Voter Registration day! Any day is a great day to register to vote or update your registration, but why not take care of it on this special holiday? Head to WCV's Voter Registration Hub [[link removed]] and get it done! Not eligible to vote but want to help out? Share this graphic on your social media [[link removed]] with friends & family to make sure they are able to cast their ballot in this critical local election year.
Last week, we released our final slate of endorsements in local races across the state. Check out our Endorsement page to see who WCV endorses in your community! [[link removed]]
Register to join us for the Evergreen Future Town Hall: Elect Local Leaders on September 30th @ 5:30pm. [[link removed]] County Council candidates Kim-Khánh Văn (King County), Brandy Donaghy (Snohomish County), and Rebecca Lewis (Whatcom County) will discuss what environmental justice, equitable economic recovery, and public health mean to them. Learn how they plan to bring change to their communities and how you can help them win!
Join the Evergreen Future Textbanking team! [[link removed]] Volunteers will send text to thousands of voters to get out the vote for pro-environment candidates in local elections across the state. To be a part of this team, you just have to commit to sending texts for three hour-and-a-half shifts between now and Election Day -- that's it! Training will be provided by our field team.
