Democrats control the White House, Senate, and House, which means we have a mandate from the American people to deliver on our progressive agenda for working and middle-class families.
That is why infrastructure and the Build Back Better bill must pass in tandem, together.
The Build Back Better bill would provide child care, education, and stability for the Americans that need it most—all while cutting taxes for the middle class. There’s no real argument against doing this for the American people.
Let’s be clear: My fellow progressives in the House and I are working alongside President Biden and hundreds of our Democratic colleagues to get this done, while a handful of holdouts slow down the process.
I know these negotiations can be frustrating, but right now is not the moment to lose hope. Far from it — right now is the moment to make your voice heard in support of this historic investment in millions of American families. The process might be difficult, but we will get both of these bills passed.
