Friends, we have a major announcement: We're setting an especially ambitious $50,000 fundraising goal ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline and are counting on your support to get there in time!
These deadlines aren’t arbitrary, either. Reaching our quarterly goals means the difference between saving lives and continuing America’s deadly trajectory. And right now, we want to be clear about where your donation will go and why it means so much to each of us here at Brady.
Brady is run every day by survivors of gun violence, so when we talk about the pain and loss we're urgently trying to prevent, we're talking about our own loved ones, our own experiences. Liz and Christian are talking about their moms. Maisha is talking about her brother. It's not hypothetical — it's deeply personal.
And when the work we do is this personal, it's an even sharper slap in the face to hear the gun lobby say we're somehow infringing on their "rights." Let's be clear: At Brady, we’re fighting to protect our most fundamental rights — the right to live and to feel safe in our community. Parents should be able to trust that their children will come home from school, and families should not have to fear being shot and killed when they go to church or Walmart or a concert.
That's why this end-of-quarter goal is so critical: Every dollar we raise helps us fight back against the $2 MILLION the NRA has pledged to spend against our movement. But Brady is a grassroots organization, which means if we fall short, life-saving changes like an assault weapons ban and universal background checks (policies that the majority of Americans support) will continue to be obstructed. We can’t let that happen, John — so we need your immediate help:
Please, John — we only have a matter of days to close our budget gap and can't afford to fall even a dollar short. With so much on the line in this deeply personal, life-or-death fight, will you donate $5 or more before the end-of-quarter deadline to help Brady prevent gun violence and save lives?

Thank you,
Team Brady
