UPDATE: Georgia Heartbeat Law tied to Dobbs Ruling If you watched the hearing for Georgia’s Heartbeat Law last week, you were, hopefully, encouraged. The nonsensical arguments of the pro-abortion side were based solely on Roe – a foundation all parties involved, including the 3 judge panel, acknowledged is cracking.
With the Dobbs case set to be heard December 1, the court, which made numerous statements that were affirming toward the Georgia Heartbeat Law, declined to make a ruling until a decision is made in that case.
Yes, this is disappointing because it further delays our nation-leading law from being implemented and saving lives.
Yes, this is encouraging because it acknowledges the reality that we will likely see a new day soon – that the Dobbs case could be the beginning of the end for abortion in Georgia and, eventually, the United States.
Please be in prayer. We are rapidly approaching the moment we have all been laboring for.
In 2019, our organization was honored to partner with Governor Kemp, Representative Setzler, and Senator Unterman to lead the fight for the Heartbeat Bill, and we are firmly cemented as Georgia’s premier voice for life.
Here’s my pledge: we will not back down. We will not surrender an inch. We will defend our pro-life majority in each election, and we will advance the cause of life each session. We will not stop until the killing stops, until ALL life is cherished, and until abortion is no more and until it is unthinkable.
