Help Mercy Corps and local communities build long-term solutions to crises by becoming a monthly donor.

Dear friend,

At Mercy Corps, we’re dedicated to helping people facing crises build secure, productive, and just communities where everyone can prosper. As a monthly donor, you can help us carry out this work by being there for communities before crises happen and sticking by their side as they build a brighter future.

Before a disaster hits, reliable monthly gifts help us prepare for and respond immediately to an emergency, like when Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas two years ago, or when an earthquake struck Haiti just last month.

Following the recent earthquake in Haiti, Mercy Corps team members distributed kits with essential supplies, such as water purification tablets, soap, diapers, mosquito nets, and tarps.

During a crisis, we execute our emergency response protocols, focusing on meeting immediate needs, often distributing emergency kits, water, and cash vouchers to help families and communities get back on their feet.

After the initial crisis, we continue supporting communities like those across the Caribbean, helping them become better prepared for disasters and investing in people’s livelihoods through small business support, cash vouchers, and job training.

Your monthly gift can help Mercy Corps prepare for every stage of a crisis and build long-term solutions to issues impacting countries around the world, including climate change, hunger, poverty, and conflict. Will you make a monthly gift of $8 or more to support families facing crisis?

Thanks to our teams, partners, and monthly givers, Mercy Corps has helped communities recover and rebuild after disasters. In the two years following Hurricane Dorian, we helped install a water treatment system and provided grants to nearly 400 businesses in the Bahamas to help them get back up and running, and stay afloat during the pandemic. By the end of our program, 82% of participating businesses were open and doing business again.

In Haiti, where many families are still reeling from the aftermath of the recent 7.2 magnitude earthquake, we’re working toward similar long-term progress, establishing water points where needed, providing seeds and saplings to support agricultural recovery, and distributing cash vouchers to help families purchase what they need and revitalize the local economy.

A monthly gift is an easy and effective way to support this kind of work, wherever it’s needed. Plus, when you give an automatic monthly gift, you reduce our administrative costs, meaning more of each dollar goes to supporting families facing crisis.

Will you join our circle of monthly givers committed to helping us prepare for and respond to crisis situations in more than 40 countries?

Thank you for being a part of Mercy Corps and for helping communities build a better tomorrow.
