You might have noticed when you opened this email that things look a little different. And that’s because today we’re thrilled to introduce The Trevor Project’s new brand identity.

The Trevor Project was founded in 1998 with a simple drive: every young person struggling with their sexual orientation or gender identity should have someone to talk to. Now, 23 years later, Trevor has grown from a 24/7 phone lifeline reaching a few thousand young people per year to the largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ young people in the world.

We supported more than 200,000 LGBTQ youth crisis contacts last year alone. We are blazing trails in research, education, advocacy, peer support, and technology. And the urgent demand to expand Trevor’s life-saving work has meant rapid growth for our organization – all fueled by supporters like you. We truly can’t thank you enough.

The world we live in is evolving and changing every day, especially for LGBTQ young people. Recently, our organization reached an inflection point, an opportunity to ask ourselves, “What does The Trevor Project look like for the next 23 years? What do we want to achieve, and how will we change to accommodate those goals? How can we better meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s LGBTQ young people?”

We found the answers in the stories of our volunteers, our staff, our donors, and most importantly, the LGBTQ young people who are the heart of all that we do. We seek to end suicide among LGBTQ young people. To cultivate a culture where all LGBTQ young people see a bright future for themselves. Where hopes and dreams feel attainable, no matter who you are and where you come from. I feel more optimistic than ever that we’re helping to build a world where all LGBTQ young people feel celebrated, affirmed, and accepted for exactly who they are.

As part of The Trevor Project’s refreshed identity, we also have a new website that has been thoughtfully designed for a youth-first audience. The new site was designed for easy, intuitive access to resources, support, ways to get involved, and information about how you or someone you love can get help 24/7 during a time of crisis. I hope you’ll enjoy visiting it.
