One of the worst parts about campaigns is the amount of money they cost. It’s absolutely outrageous.

And if you ask any candidate, legislator or executive, they’ll tell you the act of fundraising isn’t great either. They’d much rather be focused on the work you expect them to do.

But these campaigns cost money, so fundraising has to happen... even though we just ended one.

As you may know, Governor Newsom is up for re-election this cycle, so he has to run again. That means a new campaign, and new costs, with the same right-wing Republican motivation to beat us.

So we need to do some modest fundraising in the days ahead — before our quarterly deadline ends. And that is why we are asking:

Can you please make a $3 contribution to Gavin Newsom’s re-election campaign? We would not ask again were this not so important.
