I’m used to being told I’ve undertaken an impossible goal, friend.
I helped lead marriage equality campaigns across the South and I ran for county commissioner when no one thought I’d win. But I never let skeptics stop me from pushing forward then, and I certainly won’t let them stop me now.
Some people will say a gay woman who's a Christian minister just can't get elected in Western NC. Not to mention, she's a Democrat.
But when I see an insurrectionist who flirts with Nazis and fires up a violent crowd to attack our democracy, well, he shouldn't get re-elected anywhere. If you’re with me, chip in $25 or more to help me reach my end-of-month goal and unseat Cawthorn from Congress.
I am running because this disastrous duo that incited the January 6th insurrection need to be held accountable at the ballot box, and this is our best chance:

And because this Congressman spends his time trying to make national news headlines instead of being a leader to his constituents:

Above all, I’m running to bring WNC the leadership we need and deserve. As a pastor and parent, I can relate to folks who need help and support when the going gets tough. As an elected official, I know how to get things done to deliver help when it’s needed:

I want to show both my supporters and my skeptics that I am the leader NC-11 deserves, but I can’t do it alone. We are coming close to the end of our FEC goal, and with about $6,846 left to raise, we need your support.
Can we count on you to chip in $25 or whatever you can today to help us meet our FEC deadline, defeat Cawthorn, and lead Western NC with love and unity instead of division and violence?
We got this -- together.
