In just a moment, I am going to ask you to contribute before Thursday’s end-of-quarter fundraising deadline. I hope that you’ll let me explain why this request is so important.

Democrats have been working day in and day out in Washington to address the greatest challenges brought on by the pandemic and our economic recovery. We remain committed to working together to get our country back on track and have faced relentless opposition from Mitch McConnell and his army of far-right Republicans.

The midterm elections are quickly approaching and there is a chance that we could lose control of the Senate. Republicans only need to gain one seat to take back control and halt all of our progress.

If Republicans are able to retake control, the Biden agenda will be in jeopardy — that’s why we can’t let them win.

This grassroots team has always stepped up when we’ve called on you in the past, so I hope that I can count on you to power our efforts again. Republicans are already fighting tooth and nail to take back control, so it’s crucial that we stick together to hit Thursday’s critical goal.
