Under the current Title IX regulation, survivors must undergo an extremely burdensome procedure during the investigation of their sexual harassment complaints by their universities.

It's time-consuming and discriminatory.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

The Biden Administration has shared its plan to undo the Trump Administration’s attack on student survivors and create a rule under Title IX to support the civil rights of all students.

The Department of Education, however, isn't planning to propose solutions to this harmful Title IX rule until May 2022, which means it could be years until this dangerous policy is reversed.

Student survivors can’t wait. Stand with us to demand the U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona end Betsy DeVos’ Title IX rule now.

Here is what we are demanding from the Department of Education:

• issue a nonenforcement directive on parts of the Title IX rule to prevent colleges and universities from dismissing complaints under certain circumstances
• keep survivors from enduring "unjust and hostile" investigations and hearings
• allow institutions to follow state or local sex-based harassment laws
• urge an update to the Department's case processing manual so that survivors have more time to file a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights
