Dear John, The House of Representatives is expected to vote on President Biden and congressional Democrats’ radical and wasteful “infrastructure” scheme THIS WEEK. Please tell your U.S. Representatives to oppose Biden’s wasteful “infrastructure” plan, even if you have already done so. H.R. 3684 would spend more than $1.2 trillion, with only $500 billion allocated for roads, bridges, and other traditional infrastructure projects. If Congress adds $1.2 trillion in spending on infrastructure, inflation will continue to increase, the economic recovery will slow, and future generations will be left paying for this increased spending through higher taxes and higher prices well into the future. Worse still, the legislation would open the door for passage of Democrats’ massive $3.5 trillion “human infrastructure” bill. This would stand as the largest increase in federal spending and government power in U.S. history. Please take action right now. This $3.5 trillion bill contains hundreds of billions of dollars in spending that would be used to pay for handouts to big labor unions, implement the Green New Deal, and fund a huge wish list of Socialist programs and policies. It would even redefine “infrastructure” to include public housing and childcare, among other completely unrelated programs. More than $5.7 trillion has already been spent over the past year for “relief” from the COVID-19 pandemic. If Biden’s infrastructure plan clears Congress, spending over the past year would total more than $11 TRILLION – more than 2.5 times the amount spent by the federal government in the year before the pandemic. John, the clock is ticking. The House is planning to vote on Biden’s infrastructure scheme on Thursday, September 27. It is absolutely imperative that as many Americans as possible contact their U.S. Representative immediately – before it’s too late. Please contact your elected officials now and demand they vote against Biden’s radically expensive “infrastructure” boondoggle today. Sincerely, Deborah Collier Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs |
