A quick reminder of our fragile supply chain

The Brazilian Truckers Strike of 2021 (last month) was short-lived and
localized but quickly caused extreme effects on citizens all over the
country.

It should serve as a reminder of the power of the industry, when united,
to cause rapid, widespread chaos across an entire nation, particularly
one already facing shortages and upheaval.

Had you heard about the Brazilian Truckers Strike of 2021? I had not
until this article.

What are your thoughts about trucking strikes? Are you concerned it is a
possibility in the US? Back in 2017, it was said that it would only take
5 days after the trucks stop moving for chaos to erupt across the
nation. Do you think that's an accurate prediction still? Or would our
already-weakened supply chain devolve even faster now? Share your
thoughts in the comments.

How to Save Money with Curbside Pickup and Delivery (Really)

While it might seem counterintuitive to pay someone to shop for you,
curbside pickup and delivery services can help you to avoid impulse
buys, stay within your budget, and save a lot of money. Here's how.

Note for preppers: Keep OPSEC in mind if using services like these. This
was written for the frugalilty website. I have used this strategy for a
few large, heavy purchases due to back problems.

I live in an apartment building where everything looks identical. I
split things up over more than one purchase. I removed all the furniture
and plants from my patio so it was completely plain and looked just like
everyone else's. I didn't have things brought indoors and I let my dogs
bark their heads off from inside the entire time my orders were
delivered.

Is it ideal? No, but it's better than not having those items, especially
with things becoming limited again. Just some food for thought for
preppers who may have physical limitations.
