Hi,
Happy National Voter Registration Day!
Our Campus Organizers are working with students all around the country today to run events and help students get registered. Apply today to join our team as a campus organizer after you graduate!
Here are four things you can do right now to celebrate the day:
- Update your own voter registration registration at StudentVote.org (if you've moved since last registering or need to register for the first time).
- Post StudentVote.org on your social media pages.
- Ask your professors to mention National Voter Registration Day and StudentVote.org in their classes.
- Post StudentVote.org in any group chats that you're a part of.
National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) is a non-partisan civic holiday celebrating democracy and the country’s largest single-day voter registration drive each year. The goal of the holiday is to ensure, by creating a broad awareness of voter registration, that tens of thousands of Americans who might otherwise miss the voter registration deadline are able to register to vote.
Young people are the largest and most diverse voting bloc in the country. But even though we saw historic youth voter turnout in 2020, thanks in part to the efforts of our New Voters Project, we have a lot of work to do to ensure that our generation is fully represented in our democracy. So we're working to make sure every student has the opportunity to have their voice heard.
Help spread the word and share StudentVote.org now!
Best,
