We always knew a border wall would be bad for Arizona, but this is seriously misguided.

Not only has the president side-stepped Congress and taken nearly $4 billion from our military to go towards the wall, but now he is on the cusp of destroying land sacred to Arizona’s indigenous communities and our ancestral history. Enough is enough!

I was elected to fight for Arizona and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

New reports from the National Park Service show that construction along the border could harm or destroy these cultural sites and the important natural resources in the area.

Plus, nearly a dozen indigenous tribes have ties to the land that a border wall would cut right through -- meaning thousands of years of ancestral grounds could be decimated.
