Protect yourself, your friends and your family from scams
Scams are a second pandemic as fraudsters try to exploit people who are struggling.
Some common ones to watch out for are delivery scams, pension reviews, phishing and fraudsters impersonating your bank. Read more about common scams and how to spot them here.
- Your bank will never call you and ask you to verify your details - hang up immediately
- Check the email address when an email pretends to be from a bank, Paypal, TV licensing or similar. The email may look real but the email address will clearly be wrong
- To report scams, forward suspicious text messages to 7726 and emails to [email protected].
- If you’ve been scammed, contact your bank and Action Fraud
