European Ideas Lab: starting this Thursday

The European Ideas Lab is a unique space that brings together changemakers, Green decision-makers and activists to discuss the most pressing issues in Europe. Join us for a 3 day hybrid event, online or in Milan, starting this Thursday.

Activists, civil society organisations, citizen movements, artists, ecopreneurs and Green innovators – we come from different backgrounds but we all share the same objective: creating positive change in our societies.

European Ideas Lab is organised by European Greens and Greens/EFA. 

Discover the programme

Our programme aims to address some of the most pressing issues we as a society face today. Join us to discuss important topics on climate and biodiversity - including how to fight against the fast fashion industry, how to protect our oceans by stopping bottom trawling and how activists and politicians can work together to shape solutions that work for everyone!

Thursday programme highlights

Carola Rackete, Climate Activist and Conservationist will deliver the keynote speech on Thursday evening. Her current activism is focussed on justice in nature conservation and degrowth.

The Thursday plenary session will look at the vital role of activists and politicians and how we can foster synergies. It will involve an exchange between Green politicians and changemakers on how can we fight together, while respecting each other’s autonomy and position.
Key speakers include Bas Eickhout Member of European Parliament, Philippe Henry Vice-President and Minister of Climate, Energy and Mobility of the Walloon Government, Rossella Muroni, Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Italy and Martina Comparelli Fridays For Future Activist.

Friday programme highlights

Building bridges and exchanging strategies towards the COPs on biodiversity and on climate. How can we coordinate and reinforce each others’ actions and efforts?

Workshops based on peer-learning and shared experiences so we can all build our strengths and skills in campaigning, advocacy and activist well-being to push for a greener and fairer world.

Creating synergies between local and global, community activism and institutional politics, changemakers and politicians to reinforce your ongoing campaigns.
