John,

First, my House colleagues and I passed the For the People Act which would rein in the flood of dark money, end partisan gerrymandering, and tackle corruption in our politics. It was so important to us that it received the title of "H.R. 1", the first bill introduced in the 116th Congress.

Then, Senate leadership refused to bring it to a vote.

Now, I am calling on you, John, to join me today and urge the Senate to bring H.R. 1 to a vote before the 2020 election!

John, will you join me in calling on the Senate to bring H.R. 1 to a vote?

H.R. 1 would combat a culture of corruption in Washington by limiting the excessive political power of special interests and lobbyists, protecting and expanding the right to vote, and restoring ethics and accountability to the federal government.

I hope that you’ll stand with me and sign the petition.

Please John, can you stand with me today and urge the Senate to bring H.R.1 to a vote?

Thank you,

-Abigail
