Iran Caught Smuggling Nuke Materials out of U.S.
An Iranian national was caught by U.S. officials attempting to smuggle materials that can be used to enrich uranium, the key component in a nuclear weapon, out of the U.S., according to the Justice Department. Behzad Pourghannad allegedly attempted to smuggle carbon fiber, a material the regime is prohibited from acquiring under U.S. sanctions, out of America and ship it to Tehran.

IDF says Gaza-West Bank terror funding network exposed
On Wednesday, The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it arrested Hamas members linked to a money transfer network that funneled cash from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank for terror purposes, the Times of Israel reported. The network was operated by a passport-issuing agency named “Al-Haramain” in the Gaza Strip, the army said. Money was transferred by offsetting debts between a number of independent money exchangers while using a minimal amount of cash.

Al Arabiya Interview with Jason Greenblatt: Economic Plan Will Not Happen without Palestinian Support
Middle East envoy for the United States, Jason Greenblatt, told Al Arabiya that the U.S.’ economic portion of the administration’s Middle East peace plan “will not move forward” without a political agreement. He reiterated his criticism of the Palestinian Authority's unwillingness to discuss the plan and said it was a “shame” that the Palestinians chose to boycott the Bahrain conference.

Senior Hamas official calls on members of Palestinian diaspora to kill Jews
Fathi Hammad, a senior Hamas official has urged members of the Palestinian diaspora to kill Jews around the world. Hammad, made the statement in a speech at a protest in the border region between the Gaza Strip and Israel on Friday. “Our patience has run out. We are on the verge of exploding. If this siege is not undone, we will explode in the face of our enemies, with God’s permission and glory. The explosion is not only going to be in Gaza but also in the [West] Bank and abroad, if God wills,” Hammad said, referring to Israeli restrictions on the movement of people and goods between Israel and Gaza.

MOUs signed between Israel and South Korea
During President Reuven Rivlin’s visit to Seoul this week for a bilateral business forum, Israel and South Korea signed several agreements. Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) were signed between the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Israel Export Institute, as well as in the field of robotics between the institute and the Daegu municipality. Agreements in the reams of energy and education were also signed, and both nations are interested in finalizing a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Further, in light of the security threats it is confronting, South Korea said it is keen on acquiring the Iron Dome.

Israel’s Revolutionary Patch Keeps Brain Safe After Surgery
For those recovering from brain surgery, Israeli start-up Nurami Medical has you covered—literally. The Haifa-based company has developed a synthetic, biodegradable patch that acts as a bandage in post-brain and spinal surgery recovery. It is safer and less expensive than the products currently being used. Because Nurami’s patches are biodegradable, they won’t need to be removed from the brain. They simply dissolve into the body when the tissue has healed. Nurami is starting with the brain, but, eventually, its technology could be used to protect and repair soft tissue anywhere in the body.
