Hey, John -- Kate here, Elaine’s Campaign Manager. I wanted to make sure that you saw Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s urgent message about the importance of holding Elaine’s seat -- I attached it at the bottom of this email just in case.

Speaker Pelosi stressed that it is of the utmost importance to make early investments into Elaine’s campaign if we want to see her hold VA-02 blue. Will you chip in today to help make that a reality?

I also wanted to give you a quick campaign update -- right now, we are three days away from Elaine’s FEC deadline. That means national Republicans and election analysts alike will be analyzing Elaine’s fundraising numbers, looking for any sign of weakness.

Elaine’s numbers need to be higher than her Republican opponent’s, otherwise Republicans will see her seat as any easy target to flip -- inviting more outside spending and attack ads against her.

We still have another $4,879 in the next three days to hit our goal. I know that with our grassroots team, we will.
