Ground Game Texas

Friend,

When we launched Ground Game Texas in June, folks from all over came together to support our vision of boosting voter turnout across Texas by putting popular issues onto local ballots.

Now, we’re putting those grassroots resources to work. We’re talking to hundreds of voters a day, recruiting volunteers, and getting closer to officially placing our first local measure – decriminalizing marijuana and banning no-knock warrants in Austin – onto the ballot.

It’s thrilling, but it’s also just the beginning. Once we hit our signature goal in Austin, our plan is to take our winning formula (“workers, wages, and weed”) to city ballots all across Texas and mobilize a massive new wave of progressive voters. And we can’t do that without your help, friend.

We’re coming up on a massive end-of-quarter fundraising deadline, friend. So if you are able, can you please chip in $5, $10, $20 or whatever you are able to Ground Game Texas so we can reach our goal before midnight Thursday?

We founded Ground Game Texas because the bottom line is, “flipping” Texas won’t happen overnight.

We need an all-hands-on-deck approach that prioritizes local campaigns, winning issues, and in-person organizing. We need to knock doors all year long, not just in the months before a presidential election. We need to go on offense, fighting for popular, progressive policies that actually motivate people to vote.

Texas is on the verge of political transformation. We’ve seen it happen in Georgia and in Arizona. But that transformation won’t happen unless we actually put in the work.

Here’s how you can help today: Please chip in $5 or any amount now to help us reach our end-of-quarter fundraising goal. Every dollar you give will go straight toward our organizing on the ground in Austin and expanding to dozens more cities across Texas.

Thank you for your support as we work to reach this month’s important fundraising goal. We simply can’t fund this people-powered work without you.

Onward,

Julie Oliver & Mike Siegel
