Team:
By now, you’ve likely heard about Republicans’ failed attempt to recall California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom. But what you don’t know is how this impacts NewDems...
Even though their political power grab resoundingly failed, the GOP’s recall effort performed extremely well in Rep. Josh Harder’s district — a NewDem member and DCCC Frontliner in the 2022 cycle. Republican candidate Larry Elder received 55.2% of the vote in a critical county in Josh’s district, compared to less than 47% statewide.
These numbers aren’t good for Josh. He’s going to have to fight to keep this seat blue for Democrats in 2022, and we need to make sure that we can send him back up when he needs it most: Can you chip in $10 or more today — split between Josh Harder and NewDems — to help us protect Frontliners like Josh Harder in 2022?

California’s 10th has always been a competitive district, and whoever holds this seat holds the majority. It was a HUGE deal when Josh flipped it blue in 2018.
The overperformance of the recall in Josh’s district proves that we’ll have to overcome the chokehold that divisive rhetoric and Trump-style politics have put on red-to-blue districts like Josh Harder’s.
Keeping NewDem incumbents in office next year will mean the difference between holding and losing our Democratic majority. Can you chip in $10 or more to support Josh and NewDems as we fight to defend the majority?
Thanks for standing with us,
NewDems
