The Best Choice for Wichita Mayor
Former Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer endorsed Lyndy Wells today to be the next mayor of Wichita saying Lyndy is the only candidate with the knowledge and experience to put Wichita on a successful path forward for economic growth and community building.
"I’m endorsing Lyndy Wells today because one of the key things that he brings to the table is integrity and public trust,” said Brewer. “I’ve worked with Lyndy over the years and have had the opportunity to see how getting the citizens opinion and their view and their input was important to him.”
“I believe that it is important that we have leadership that we can trust and that we can depend on,” continued Brewer. “That’s why I believe on election day, we should write-in Lyndy Wells so we can have a better future for all citizens here in Wichita.”
Carl Brewer (D), served as Wichita Mayor from 2007 – 2015 and as a Wichita City Council Member from District 1 from 2001 – 2007. He is a former President of the League of Municipalities and chaired an economic development steering committee for the National League of Cities.

"The water plant, regardless of the unfortunate actions around the negotiations for the bidding for the design of the water plant,. the water plant's 80 years old. It's not like this snuck up on us, we have simply not given priority of the importance of water," said Wells."
Wells says the treatment plant, along with mental health, substance abuse and law enforcement are at the core of the city's challenges.
