Dear Friend,
We defeated the Recall! As of this morning, the count shows that 42% of eligible voters voted in the election, and 64% said No to the Recall.
This is a win for California, and it’s time to celebrate the power of our vote! Click here to RSVP for a virtual post-Recall celebration especially for our Courage California members on Wednesday, September 29, 6—7pm!
Together, Californians turned out and took a stand for equity and justice. We battled disinformation and rebuked the right-wing extremism that fueled the Recall. We said no to rolling back our hard-fought progress in the name of fear. We affirmed California as the state that will lead the nation in expanding rights and protections and fighting climate change. We made our voices heard at the polls and reclaimed the recall for all of us.
With your support, commitment, and hard work over the last six months, Courage California established ourselves early on as a progressive and independent leader against the Recall.
- We provided voters with all the information and tools they needed to vote, combating disinformation and cynicism.
- We organized partner groups and leaders around the state to speak out and take action against the recall.
- We developed communication tool kits that influenced the public and voter conversations about the recall.
- We conducted a statewide youth poll and used the information to target voters and focus coordinated efforts with partners.
- We hosted a town hall and a youth rally to motivate voters and mobilize volunteers for our voter-outreach partners.
- We launched a digital ad campaign with research-based messaging and reached voters around the state, especially in the Central Valley and Inland Empire.
Our work made a difference, and you made it possible. Thank you, and cheers!
