[ [link removed] ]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress

When Alexandria speaks truth to power, her voice carries the weight of our
grassroots movement with it.

That’s why we’re writing you, to ask for a little boost before our end
of quarter deadline. When we close the books on our official FEC report at
midnight on Thursday, the pundits and politicians are going to view our
numbers as a measure of the public support for the policies we’re fighting
for.

[ [link removed] ]Will you make a $3 donation before Thursday’s deadline
to help us show strong support for our movement? Every contribution — no
matter how big or small — builds strength for our platform and moves us
one step closer to our $1.7 million fundraising goal.

Think about just these past few weeks alone.

* First, Alexandria went on national TV to call out Texas Gov. Greg
Abbott’s deep ignorance after he enacted a six-week abortion ban and
claimed he was going to “eliminate rape.”

* Then she raised more than $300,000 online for abortion funds in Texas.

* In DC, she called attention to Joe Manchin’s weekly meetups with Exxon
lobbyists in the wake of his refusal to vote for the Build Back Better
plan because it would move us toward a greener economy.

* And she sparked a national conversation on the urgent need to tax the
rich and invest in childcare, healthcare, and climate action for all.

You may have seen some of this in the news. Why? Because when Alexandria
makes moves, the people in power pay attention. They know that Alexandria
speaks not only for herself, but for millions of people who believe in our
progressive movement — the volunteers, grassroots donors, and voters who
are demanding change.

Of course, all of this puts a massive target on her back. We know that
whenever Alexandria uses her voice to call out corruption and fight for
the people, well-funded special interest groups will look for ways to put
a stop to our movement.

Your donations — at an average of just $17 — make our message more
powerful as we compete against the powerful and corrupting influence of
big money. In a political system where money talks, strong grassroots
fundraising plays a key role in making sure our agenda, and the leaders
like Alexandria who fight for our values, carry weight in Washington, D.C.
and beyond.

contribute $3 toward our $1.7 million fundraising goal.

Alexandria’s voice is only as powerful as the movement behind it.
Publishing big fundraising numbers on our FEC report is one of the best
ways we can show off the strong public support for our shared values.

We hope you can chip in to help us get over the line on the goal this
quarter.

Thanks for everything,

Team AOC
