I know emails ahead of fundraising deadlines like the one we have later this week can sound pretty extreme. Trust me, I get them in my inbox, too.

I’m not going to tell you that we need your $5 or $10 contribution before the FEC deadline or we are doomed on Election Day. I won’t exaggerate or use fear-mongering tactics.

But I will tell you that this grassroots movement and Democrats in Congress are fighting for issues that are serious.

Climate change. Access to health care. The future of our democracy.

Those are very real issues at stake in the coming election. Democrats are working together to enact powerful and transformative solutions, but what we can accomplish ultimately comes down to what happens on Election Day.

And that’s where your contributions can make a difference. Your contributions are the building blocks for a strong and winning campaign so me and other Democrats can continue doing the work we’re doing in Congress to address the biggest issues facing us as a country.
