Socialize a bit with other (not just) Young Republicans
Let's keep it quick and easy: You should come have a good time with us tomorrow. Free to attend.

Never just a dry policy discussion, always a good time too.

  • Engaging Camaraderie in a "Civic Space": HR, your Montrose/Midtown/Heights neighbors, and your crazy hair dyed aunt on Facebook make it hard to express your politics. You don't have to worry about that here. We're friendly, we welcome new faces, and you don't even have to be young.

  • Socializing begins at 6:30 during happy hour and we call proceedings to order approximately 7:15.

  • Speaker Gabriela Gerhart: We haven't had a boring speaker since 2018, and the Q&A afterward is a great way to learn about the nuts and bolts of politics and policy. Ms. Gerhart has a very interesting story to tell: After leaving communist Czechoslovakia as a child, she came to the west with very different expectations and attitudes. She abandoned the communism that the Warsaw Pact indoctrinated youths into when she looked at the country around here and saw all that capitalism had to offer. She authored a great book about it, "After the Fall," for which copies will be on sale!

  • Free appetizers. Younger people are famous grifters and cheapskates: Y'all need incentives and a display of open friendship, thus have some quesadillas, pub fare, and maybe even some hot wings on us.

  • Cool venue. Christian's Tailgate in the Heights is great! It's not some stuffy restaurant like baby boomers meet at. Tuesdays are taco night with good drink specials. There are standard bar games, arcade games, and ESPN.

  • That Sweet Sweet Serotonin: Top research and clinical psychologists agree: Socializing at least once a week and engaging in fulfilling activities helps lead to mental wellbeing. For political minded people, why not do both at once?
