Hello! It's Lucy McBath.

I want to thank you for all of your support over the last few years. Due to all your hard work, I became the 1st Democrat to represent Georgia's 6th District since 1979.

Here's my story.

I left a 30-year career as a flight attendant at Delta Airlines to run for office.

Why, you might ask?

The day after Thanksgiving in 2012, my son Jordan was sitting in the back seat of a friend's car at a gas station. A man pulled up next to them, complaining about "loud music". He pulled out a gun and fired 10 shots into the car, killing Jordan.

After my son's death, I dedicated my life to preventing other families from experiencing the kind of pain I did.

That's why I co-sponsored the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, which passed the House in March.

Now, Republicans are working hard to take back my seat. They want to rig the system and suppress the vote so I can’t win again.

We need a strong Democratic Party to make sure that doesn't happen.
