Hi John, I want to give you an update on what House Democrats have been up to in Congress:

While Republicans continued to obstruct our agenda and stand in the way of relief for hard working families, we got to work.

We passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to restore the FULL strength of the Voting Rights Act, amidst unprecedented attacks against access to the ballot box.

We advocated to extend the eviction moratorium to protect renters and keep people in their homes, provide humanitarian support for Haiti after the earthquake, and raise the admissions cap on the number of Afghan refugees.

And let’s not forget back at home, California Democrats successfully defeated the right-wing recall so Gavin Newsom can finish his term.

All this and more was made possible by you: the grassroots supporters who pitched in, volunteered, and voted to secure Democratic majorities in Congress.
