John,
Washington has been busy lately — as we negotiate over voting rights, reconciliation, and a budget deal to keep the government open. That doesn’t leave much time for campaigning.
But it is absolutely critical that we don’t fall short of Thursday’s FEC deadline goal. And if I’m being honest, as a party, we’re not where we need to be right now.
We saw an absolute tidal wave of donations come through earlier this month before the California recall — I know it’s hard to imagine feeling that same urgency for midterm elections more than a year away.
But here is the truth:
Early investment gives a decided advantage in winning the key races we need to build on our House and Senate majorities. With just a one seat advantage in the Senate and a handful in the House, we have no margin for error. If we fail, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy will turn Washington over to an authoritarian cult of personality beholden not to our democracy, but to a man in Mar-a-Lago — Donald Trump.
That means we can’t afford to fall short of Thursday’s deadline. We just can’t.
Can you rush a donation of $3, $10, or whatever you can afford right now? These donations may not seem like much, but when thousands of people are pitching in together, we are a force to be reckoned with. Please chip in today.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thank you for being such an integral part of my grassroots team. I couldn’t do this work without you.
