Taz is a drama student in Oklahoma, an entrepreneur, Muslim, and an aspiring constitutional attorney.

Taz is also one of the 27 DACA recipients who have fearlessly shared their stories in our amicus brief to be heard by the Supreme Court on November 12.

His story is the fourth video of a series of biographies, featured in our UWD stories amicus brief. We’ve submitted these videos to the court to show them why DACA is needed - because our #HomeIsHere.

He immigrated to the United States at just nine months old from Bangladesh, and is the only person in his family who is undocumented. Taz’s first opportunities that came with him receiving his DACA were being able to drive a car and work at fast food restaurants — a regular, teenage experience.

Our video series captures the journeys, struggles, and successes of United We Dream members from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Mexico, and elsewhere who now live in Florida, Oregon, Illinois, Maryland, California, and across the nation. So, first, we need everyone to watch Taz’s powerful testament on how DACA radically changed the course of his life.

Then, we need voices from all across the country to call on the Supreme Court to do what’s right and protect DACA recipients and all immigrant communities. Share our videos. Share our stories.

Our #HomeIsHere.
