Dear John,

Climate change is already causing damage to the Great Lakes, the Midwest, and communities around the globe. The transportation sector is the leading source of climate change pollution, especially from personal cars and trucks. But we have the technology and the opportunity to slash dangerous greenhouse gas emissions, with strong vehicle emission standards.

Right now, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is in the process of setting stronger greenhouse gas emissions standards for new cars and light trucks, but they need to hear from you.

In 2012, the Obama administration’s EPA issued strong clean car standards for automakers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from cars and light trucks through 2025. The Trump EPA rolled back those standards with a deeply flawed replacement. Now, the Biden administration is looking to right this wrong.

We need to show that the public cares about taking urgent action on climate change and wants strong clean car standards. Comments are due by midnight tonight.

Thank you for your engagement and support.
