This past weekend, Atlanta DSA held our 2021 Chapter Convention and elected a new Steering Committee for the 2021-2022 term. Congratulations to Membership Secretary Joshua M, Recording Secretary Marco O, Treasurer Nate K, and At-Large Officers Kiana E, Miracle F, Matt M, Uzma A, Shafeka H, and Kelsea B. Over the next week the outgoing and incoming officers will be working together to transition our chapter infrastructure.

In addition to our chapter elections, our 2021 Convention also discussed and approved Resolution 21-11: Establishing the Rose Ensemble. In the coming weeks, Atlanta DSA will be organizing the Rose Ensemble as an official musical group for the chapter, to engage with street protests and lead the chapter in song at the end of meetings. Since its genesis in 1960, the US embargo of Cuba has been a criminal disaster. The time has come for DSA to demand an end to the economic sanctions against the Republic of Cuba. In this panel, DSA International Committee joins the world community as we reaffirm our commitment to ending the immoral, illegal economic blockade, and calls upon our membership to mobilize against the outrageous injustice of the US embargo of Cuba.
