Over the course of six days last week, we visited nine counties to launch our campaign kickoff for Colorado Attorney General: Pueblo County, El Paso County, Weld County, Larimer County, Garfield County, Eagle County, Jefferson County, Douglas County, and Denver County.
I appreciate you taking time to join me on this journey. Whether you came out to one of our events or followed along on social media, your engagement makes a difference. Each day, thanks to you, I have felt supported, inspired, and energized. Thank you.
Four years ago, I asked you to support me as our next Attorney General. I asked you to believe in a vision of an Attorney General who would serve as the “People’s Lawyer,” stand up to serve people, and defend our system of government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”
Together, we have more work to do.
Ballots for the 2022 election will drop in just over one year. At that time, it will be up to the people of Colorado to decide whether I am able to continue the work of serving as the “People’s Lawyer.” If I am elected to serve a second term, I am committed to continuing this work with the same energy, the same responsiveness, and the same spirit of collaboration with Colorado’s communities.
History tells us that 2022 will be a tough year to run for reelection. History also reminds us of the consequences when we are complacent and do not vote. As we approach my re-election campaign, I need your help—your voice, your time, your contributions, and, yes, your vote. If you can contribute $22 now—or whatever is meaningful to you—to help us launch our campaign, I would appreciate you sending the message that you are behind me on this journey.
