I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth – not even close. I had 11 brothers and sisters and grew up in public housing on the west side of Savannah. But through hard work and the support of my family and community, I became the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church. Now, this kid from Kayton Homes housing projects is fighting in the Senate to make sure everyone has a voice in our government – and that all of our children have a fair shot at the American dream.

But while I'm fighting to secure a progressive future for our country, national Republicans are spending millions to attack our movement, turn Georgia red and retake the Senate for Mitch McConnell. Now, a new poll shows this race neck and neck – and if we don't respond with the full force of this grassroots team, I'm afraid our entire progressive agenda could go up in smoke. So I need to ask:

Will you give $5 or more right now – as much as you can spare before our critical end-of-quarter FEC deadline – to help win in Georgia and defend our Democratic Senate majority?

We had to pull out all the stops to win the battle for Senate control – and we simply can't afford to let up now. With the Senate split 50-50, Republicans need to flip just one seat to take back the majority for Mitch McConnell – and experts from The Washington Post to NBC News confirm that I'm the GOP's top target for defeat.

Our progressive agenda is hanging on by a single thread in Georgia's Senate race, and I'm going to need the help of this grassroots team to save it. But my last election was one of the most expensive in history – so you can bet the GOP will try to spend even more to try and buy this seat this time around. 

Keeping Georgia blue is the ONLY way we can keep the Senate in Democratic hands. That's why I'm personally and urgently asking, friend:
