Friend --
Special interests and billionaires have way too much sway over our country.
That's why I've been fighting since day one to end the corrupting influence of money in our politics and protect our democracy -- first with the For the People Act, and now with the Freedom to Vote Act.
My conviction that representation means listening to everyone, not just the moneyed interests that control much of D.C., has made me a top target of the super PACs and dark money groups that prop up the Republican Party.
They have virtually limitless money to tear us down, but that's OK. We've got something else: a grassroots movement of supporters who want to see our democracy work for everyone -- and who are investing in our campaign to make it happen.
In just a few days, we'll have to close the books on this quarter -- and after that, national Republicans and dark money groups will pounce if they spot weakness. That's just how they work. So we've set a big goal to raise $15,000 by the FEC deadline, midnight Thursday. Can I humbly ask you to chip in?

A lot of groups are going to try to tear us down in the lead-up to the election. But there's one to know by name: the National Republican Congressional Committee, or NRCC.
Led by former lobbyist and current Minnesota House Republican Tom Emmer, the NRCC is a fundraising powerhouse for House Republicans. They'll funnel millions of dollars into attack ads painting me as a "radical socialist." It's all a part of their tired plan to sow fear and divide us.
It seems silly, but this tactic worked for the NRCC in 2020: They flipped 15 House seats and got within inches of the majority. If Republicans want to finish the job and take back the House next year, they know it'll take winning swing-district seats like mine. And they've already said that I'm one of their top targets.
The NRCC will have a big pile of dark money to throw at this race, but I won't. So I'm humbly asking: If you have the means, will you contribute before Thursday's official end-of-quarter deadline?
