Here’s a rundown of how corporate Democrats are blocking even the most basic health care reform to combat skyrocketing drug costs: Lowering prescription drug costs for all.

First, Senator Joe Manchin said he’d vote NO on the $3.5 trillion spending bill that includes economic relief for the 99 percent and climate action to save the planet. That’s a win for Big Pharma and the fossil fuel industry.

Then, three corporate Democrats in the U.S. House blocked a provision in the spending bill to lower prescription drug costs in a committee vote. Another win for Big Pharma.

THEN, Senator Kyrsten Sinema said she opposed Democratic plans to lower prescription drug prices. She even opposes the centrist proposal to limit the cost-savings for everyday people. Big Pharma is 3-for-3.

This is the most basic reform Democrats could pass to curb the greed and massive profits of Big Pharma companies AND help everyday people afford their insulin and other life saving medications.

Establishment Democrats have run on lowering drug prices for years. Now that they’re in power, they’re coming up with excuses.
