Our Revolution is making national news holding protests and running ads targeting corporate Democrats and leadership — who are all under tremendous pressure from Big Pharma and Bill Oil lobbyists to weaken or kill Bernie’s budget.

The reason why is simple: Bernie’s budget is extremely popular because it’s paid for by making the wealthy pay their fair share.

John, Our Revolution’s pressure has consolidated support for Bernie’s budget across the party with the exception of a few corporate Democrats who are standing in the way.

We’re heading to the U.S. Capitol tomorrow to demand that Democrats do their job and pass Bernie’s popular budget — or almost certainly lose in the midterms. Rush a donation if you stand with Bernie and support his plan to invest in working people!

Bernie’s budget is the most significant investment in working Americans since the New Deal, and the next few days will be critical to making sure it gets passed.

If our democracy actually worked, passing it would be no problem since the bill and nearly every provision in it are wildly popular with voters.

Sadly, American politics is drowning in big money, and corporations are flooding Washington with lobbyists to kill Bernie’s bill and make sure the wealthy don’t have to pay their fair share of taxes.

Next week, Democratic leadership will have to decide whether they stand with the people in support of Bernie’s budget or the corporate lobbyists trying to kill it.

To make sure they understand the stakes, Our Revolution is holding protests at the offices of corporate Democrats and is running ads to their voters to make sure they know the cost of betraying the American people. If Democrats fail to pass Bernie’s budget, they will have failed to deliver on key promises made to voters last year and will likely lose their majority in Congress in the midterm elections.

With the Republican Party becoming increasingly fascist and openly trying to overthrow our democracy, the consequences of losing this fight could be unimaginably catastrophic.
