It’s the 26th of the month, so I’m about to ask you to chip in our average online contribution of $26, but first, I want to tell you why this 26th is a little different than usual.

This is the first 26th since a poll showed that the Ohio Senate race is a dead heat.

It’s the first 26th since the Ohio Redistricting Commission approved a four-year, gerrymandered district map that would let Ohio Republicans keep their supermajority by choosing their voters rather than the other way around.

And it’s the last 26th before the next FEC public reporting deadline. 

This is a big moment for our grassroots movement, so we’ve set an ambitious $10,000 goal for the day.

I know that goal sounds daunting, but in this post-Citizens United era of politics, the only way to win against special interests is together. We can win by hitting one goal at a time, fighting for our shared values, and pulling together to outwork and out-organize the other side.
