Friend,
11 billion COVID-19 vaccines will need to be administered in order for 70% of the global population to be fully vaccinated.
So far, 5.82 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered globally — however, less than 2% of the population living in low-income countries have received even one dose.
Inequitable vaccine distribution is fundamentally wrong and inhumane. As a global leader of the vaccination effort, the U.S. needs to do better. Every single person deserves safe and equal access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
It’s why I led a group of progressive Senate Democrats in writing a letter to President Biden urging him to increase the U.S.'s leadership in addressing this disparity on the world stage.
With the U.S. already preparing booster doses for millions of Americans, it’s critical we do our part to level the playing field and ensure every person has access to the vaccine, globally.
Advocating for equitable distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine is one of the many ways I’m fighting for equity and justice for Americans and people all over the world.
If you’re with me, can you chip in right now to fuel my work advocating for equal access to COVID-19 vaccines? We will defeat this virus by ensuring every person has access to the vaccine.

We cannot ignore the various systemic inequities exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of our first steps forward is making sure every person has access to the vaccine. If we all do our part and get vaccinated, we can put an end to this unrelenting pandemic once and for all.
Together, we will get through these difficult times.
