John, it’s already happening: Florida Republicans, taking their cue from Texas and emboldened by the Supreme Court’s refusal to block the nation’s most restrictive abortion ban yet, have introduced a similar bill banning abortion after six weeks.

It’s clear: We can no longer rely on the Supreme Court to uphold our reproductive rights. It’s more critical than ever that we make sure the federal government preserves reproductive freedom by electing candidates like Val to the U.S. Senate.

But Senate Republicans, who worked with Trump to stack the Supreme Court in the hopes of overturning Roe v. Wade, want to stop Democrats like Val from codifying Roe into law. That’s why they’ve already spent millions of dollars to try to hold red seats like the one in Pennsylvania, and raised millions more to fuel their all-out fight to take back the Senate and make it open season on reproductive freedom.

We need to continue to build a strong campaign with the resources to overcome these obstacles and elect Val, which is why it’s so important that we meet our end-of-quarter goal in just a few days. But right now, we’re falling short.
