John, we all know by now that prescription drug
costs are skyrocketing out of control, across the board.
Too many families are facing the unacceptable decision of
whether to pay for their prescription medication or keep a roof
over their heads. That decision becomes even tougher for seniors
who rely on Medicare for access to healthcare, including
lifesaving medication.
I've introduced critical legislation to cap out-of-pocket
prescription drug expenses for seniors who are enrolled in
Medicare Part D, but I need to know that this bill has strong
grassroots support behind it:

I've heard too often from Oklahomans who are spending thousands
of dollars a month just on their prescription medication.
No family should have to face such a financial burden for
lifesaving healthcare - especially not seniors, who are more
likely to need prescription drugs and less likely to have the
resources to cover steep costs.
I'm proud to lead this effort in Congress, but I need to hear
