The next FEC deadline is this Thursday, September 30th so you know the deal: we’re going to ask you to make a contribution toward Brian’s re-election campaign [[link removed]] , but first, we want to explain the significance of these deadlines.

FEC deadlines aren’t empty email-marketing ploys -- they’re very real benchmarks for campaigns. This is when we have to report our numbers to the Federal Election Commission, making our campaign finances available for the public to see.

These reporting deadlines are a time to take stock in where we’re at as a campaign, because our grassroots organization is not only judged on the raw total of what we raise but also the number of small-dollar grassroots donors contributing to our campaign.

Our FEC report shows how much enthusiasm and engagement we have going into 2022 and the financial resources we have at our disposal to build a strong campaign, and together, those things will affect how we do on Election Day.
