Friend: Yesterday morning, Sen. Chuck Grassley announced he's running for his eighth term in the U.S. Senate.

After 47 years of Sen. Grassley's failed leadership, recent polling shows nearly two-thirds of Iowans want to elect someone new. With Democrat Abby Finkenauer running, this is Democrats' best opportunity in decades to flip Iowa blue and defend our Senate majority. 

But the GOP is already zeroing in on Abby: National Republicans and Fox News launched early attacks against her, Donald Trump is flying to Iowa next month to rally the Republican base and Mitch McConnell's allies are ready to spend whatever it takes of their $25 million campaign war chest to keep Iowa red. 

We need to fight back NOW. How we respond now could determine whether or not Democrats lose control of the Senate. That's why we're asking:
