Unlike other fundraising deadlines, end-of-quarter deadlines are public
facing—meaning political pundits, the media, and our opponents will be
closely watching for our filing to determine our viability as a campaign.

Strong fundraising results in strong FEC reports. This shows that a
candidate’s momentum is strong, and it can even discourage potential
opponents from running against Katie.

And John, while
other campaigns may take money from whoever offers, here's the thing about
how we fund our campaign: Katie refuses to take campaign contributions
from lobbyists. Or from corporate PACs. Or from executives at Big Oil
companies or Wall Street banks.

Katie refuses these donations because she’ll never be influenced by
wealthy special interests. She only fights for people like you—and that’s
how it will always be.

So when we say that we’re trying to raise $125,000 by the end of
September, we’re really counting on each member of this team to help us

organizing, and mobilization programs during this critical moment before
